On
Wednesday many of the talking heads on the magic box asserted that
either the Durham Report, or the Senate Intelligence Committee, or maybe
both, will maybe-possibly-perhaps be dropping some major news.
Allegedly
the powers that be are now convinced that the "intelligence community"
absolutely knew by the end of 2016 that the Steele Dossier and the
Russian Collusion Investigation were absolute and complete horseshit,
and (again allegedly) the documentation supports that position.
The
talking heads are also asserting they are being told by "sources close
to the investigation" that criminal referrals will be made. (Whether
they will be act on even if they are made is questionable. Power tends
to protect power, with some notable exceptions.)
One
of the main focuses of this is supposed to be fraud on the FISA court
involving (presumably) Comey and Rosenstein for forwarding FISA
applications that they KNEW were bullshit.
Unfortunately
I would like to see both of those dumptrucks hung out to dry. So far
Rosenstein is going with the incompetence defense. Comey is still
claiming that he is a patriot and a good guy. Maybe they will both
win. Maybe they will both loose. Maybe the talking heads are full of
shit.
With luck by the time today is over we may have a fair idea which way the wind blows.
