James 'Whitey' Bulger raved about President Donald Trump and talked about his dislike for Robert Mueller in prison letters to a juror from his 2013 trial where he was found guilty on 31 counts, including racketeering charges and 11 murders.
Bulger was killed at 89 in October 2018 after being transferred to a West Virginia prison.
But nurse Janet Uhlar was in communication with the Boston criminal over the years and he opened up to show support for the American leader's unconventional approach to public communications.
'Trump is tough and fights back instead of bowing down to pressure - and caving in to press!' Bulger wrote in August 2018, according to letters obtained by NBC News. 'U.S. agrees with him press attacking and his reaction increases his popularity - He has my vote so far.'
EDITOR’S NOTE: Whitey obviously liked Trump’s tweets.
