LABRADOR RETRIEVER FLUNKS 18-WHEEKER DRIVING TEST

The Golden Lab was in the driver’s seat as the truck left a service station, drove through a parking lot, crossed a road, and jumped a curb before smashing into a tree and a car

It’s back to the basic 18-wheeler driving school for one Golden Labrador Retriever. He flunked his driving test, smashing into a tree and a car during his short drive without an instructor by his side.

According to the Associated Press, on Friday the driver of an 18-wheeker left the truck idling as he went inside a Mankato, Minnesota gas station. He must have left his Golden Labrador Retriever in the cab because eyewitnesses said the dog popped up in the driver’s seat as the truck started rolling. The truck went through a parking lot, crossed a road and jumped a curb before smashing into a tree and a car.

It’s quite common for big rig drivers to leave their trucks idling while eating in a café or stopping off at a service station convenience store. In this case the dog must have accidentally put the truck into gear.

The Mankato cops said the dog will not be charged with reckless driving. They have not said whether the truck’s driver will face any charges.
