IF WE PAY REPARATIONS TO BLACKS, SHOULDN'T WE ALSO PAY THEM TO AMERICA'S INDIANS?

Every inch of American soil was stolen from the Indians who were forced onto reservations that barely sustained life and they are truly suffering because of it today

When I wrote my article about Sheila Jackson Lee's Second Amendment shredding Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act, I mentioned that she also introduced H.R. 40, the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act.

While Jackson Lee's crazy gun control act is not likely to see the light of day, her reparation bill has a good chance of passing in the Democrat controlled House.  Although H.R. 40 does not call for reparations, the commission to study them is the precursor  for doing exactly that.

You can bet the commission will recommend the payment of reparations on the grounds that today's plight of African-Americans is the result of slavery and Jim Crow laws.   In other words, those blacks who are living near or in poverty are poor because of slavery and Jim Crowism.  One could even say that the Bloods, Crips and other black street gangs are shooting up black neighborhoods because of slavery.

But if we pay reparations to blacks for the wrongs whites exacted on them, what about the American Indians?  Every inch of American soil was stolen from them by whites.  In the Western United States, the government forced them onto reservations that barely sustained life.  And they are truly suffering because of it today.

I've been to several Indian reservations in Arizona and Riverside County, California and the living conditions there are absolutely deplorable.

No photo description available.

There are few jobs and alcoholism is rampant.

Of course not all Indians lice in abject poverty.  The Agua Caliente band of Cahuilla Indians are well off because Palm Springs sits on their reservation.  And a number of reservations now have casinos which have improved the lives of the Indians residing thereon.

Texas has three federally-recognized Indian tribes: The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe in Livingston, the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe in Eagle Pass and the Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo tribe of Tigua Indians in El Paso.  Only the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino has been allowed to operate.  Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has shut down casinos run by the Tiguas and the Alabama-Coushatta tribe.  And Gov. Greg Abbott has publicly stated that he opposes gaming establishments on tribal lands.

Meanwhile residents of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and those of the Houston-Galveston area are improving the lives of Oklahoma and Louisiana Indians by spending millions of dollars at nearby Indian casinos in those states.

While reparations for blacks is debatable, if any group is deserving of any reparations, it is the American Indians.

SHEILA JACKSON LEE GOES BERSERK ON GUN CONTROL

Houston’s embarrassing contribution to the congressional membership introduces the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act

By Howie Katz

Big Jolly Times

January 29, 2021

It isn't bad enough that Houston has been embarrassed time after time by Sheila Jackson Lee, but now the poorest excuse for a member of Congress has gone berserk by introducing a bill that attacks all gun owners.

"H.R.127 - To provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition" is a bill Jackson Lee introduced on January4.

The bill is also known as the "Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act."

Sabika Sheikh was a Pakistani exchange student who was killed in 2018 during the Santa Fe High School massacre.

Here is a summary of H.R.127 from the Firearms Policy Coalition.

HR 127 establishes a federal firearms registration system that will be accessible by federal, state, and local governments, including the military - even the GENERAL PUBLIC! The system will track the make, model, and serial number of all firearms, their owners, the dates they were acquired, and where they are being stored.

The system will also track firearms loans, including the ID of the loan recipient and for how long it is being loaned. This bill applies retroactively, so current firearms owners will have three months to supply their gun information to the federal government from the bill’s effective date.

HR 127 also establishes a federal licensing requirement. Applicants will have to be at least 21, undergo a NICS check, complete a psychological evaluation, complete 24 hours of firearms training, and pay $800 for firearms insurance from the government.

For the psychological evaluation, a licensed psychologist will interview individuals’ spouses and at least two other family members or associates to “further determine the state of the mental emotional, and relational stability of the individual in relation to firearms.” Licenses will be denied to individuals hospitalized for issues such as depressive episodes; no duration for license disability is specified, and it does not matter whether the individual sought help voluntarily.

HR 127 will also establish licensing requirements for the display of antique firearms and for the right to possess “military-style weapons.” To display an antique, applicants have to prove they own an antique firearm, describe how they will display it, and demonstrate that they have “safe” storage for it. To possess a “military-style weapon”, applicants will have to undergo 24 hours of safety and live fire training. It is unclear whether this training is in addition to the base 24 hours of training required to possess firearms and ammunition. “Military-style weapons” are defined as they are under assault weapons bans like those in California and New Jersey - weapons are identified by name or because they possess two or more features found on commonly owned, modern semiautomatic firearms such as an adjustable stock, pistol grip, etc.

Finally, HR 127 also criminalizes the possession of “large-capacity magazines” (those carrying greater than 10 rounds) and “ammunition that is 0.50 caliber or greater.”

__________

There is no grandfathering clause in Jackson Lee's bill.  That means if you have an old rusting .22 rifle sitting in an one of your closets, you will have to comply with all the provisions of the bill or face a heavy fine and possible imprisonment.

This bill clearly shreds the Second Amendment and is the worst anti-gun legislation that any lawmaker could ever introduce.  Jackson Lee did not get any cosponsors for her bill which means that it may not get out of the House.  But you can bet that Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, AOC’s Squad and the Marxist-led BLM movement would love to see the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act become law.

I seriously doubt that most of the constituents in Jackson Lee's congressional district support this God-awful anti-gun legislation.   But they will support "H.R. 40, the "Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act" which she also introduced recently.  That bill calls for examining the specific role slavery played in creating inequality in the lives of Black Americans, as well as recommend a formal apology from the U.S. government.

Oh good, Sheila not only wants me to give up my guns, but she also wants me to pay for the problems blacks are experiencing today allegedly because of slavery which ended with the end of the Civil War.

TODAY IS HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY

Holocaust Memorial Day was established in memory of the six million Jews and millions of others who were exterminated by the Nazis

By Howie Katz

The Nazis built six extermination camps, the most notorious being Auschwitz-Birkenau where 1,100,00 people were gassed to death.  800,000 were exterminated at Treblinka, 600,000 at Belzec, 320,000 at Chelmno, 250,000 at Sobibor and 78,000 at Majdanek.

90 percent of those killed at Auschwitz-Birkenau were Jews and the rest were a mix of Gypsies, Soviets and Poles.  The camp was liberated by the Soviets on January 27, 1945, five years after it opened.

There were an additional 17 main concentration camps, each camp also having satellite camps.  Among those camps were Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald and Dachau.  Many of these camps were slave labor camps in which several million inmates were starved and worked to death.

All the camps were run by the SS.  Heinrich Himmler was Reichsführer of the Schutzstaffel (SS).

Both sets of my grandparents were sent to concentration camps where they presumably died.

The following pictures from the Daily Mail were taken by SS guards at Auschwitz.  They show newly arrived Jews being herded around by the camp's guards.  The last picture, which was taken after Auschwitz was liberated, shows belongings abandoned by the new arrivals.

POLAND: The entrance to Auschwitz, with its infamous sign saying 'Arbeit Macht Frei' or 'Work sets you free', is seen on Monday ahead of the anniversary

Their faces etched with fear, Jewish children and mothers carrying toddlers walk unknowingly to their horrendous fate. The above victims, from Hungary, were among 1.1million people murdered by the Nazis at the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp between 1942 and late 1944. Of those, 400,000 Hungarian Jews were murdered in the space of less than three months in the summer of 1944, the above women and children among them. They are pictured walking to the gas chambers

Jewish women and children who have been selected for death at Auschwitz-Birkenau stare at the camera as they walk towards the gas chambers in 1944. The building behind them is one of the crematoriums at the camp. The building in the background is Crematorium III. In May of that year, an average of 3,300 Hungarian Jews arrived each day
After their showers, the prisoners were taken to their designated barracks with a blanket for their bunk. The women had lost the last symbols of their individuality. They now all looked alike

The images of are revealed in upcoming book Hitler's Death Camps in Occupied Poland - Rare Photographs from Wartime Archives, written by military historian Ian Baxter and published by Pen & Sword. Pictured: Four Jewish men stand side by side shortly after arriving at Auschwitz-Birkenau

These Hungarian Jewish women and children are seen looking at the camera as their picture is taken. To the right, a mother can be seen smiling down at her children. In the centre of the image, a mother clutches her child's hand. These people had been selected for death, rather than work, after arriving at Auschwitz-Birkenau

SS guards are seen supervising the arrival of a transport of Hungarian Jews shortly after their arrival at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Pictured far right is SS member Stefan Baretzki. He was conscripted into the SS and stationed at Auschwitz between 1942 and 1945. Author Mr Baxter said Baretzki 'participated in mass murder by making selections, and was unrestrained in his beating of prisoners'

Two Jewish women wearing headscarves and coats walk gingerly in front of an SS guard shortly after arriving at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Behind them, an SS guard is seen standing at the head of a queue of Jewish men who are waiting to be inspected Those deemed fit to work were taken to be admitted into the camp, the rest were sent to be gassed

A transport of Jews hold their belongings shortly after arriving at Auschwitz-Birkenau. Many of these Jews were deported from Berehovo, near Hungary's border with what is now Ukraine. This photograph was taken from the album belonging to SS officer Bernhardt Walter, who was head of the Auschwitz photographic laboratory known as Erkennungsdienst (identification Service). The album was made to be presented to camp commandant Rudolf Hoss

Women and children are seen above jumping from the freight trains shortly after their arrival at Auschwitz. Among them is a boy seen holding a younger child in his arms. In the foreground, a young man wearing a hat looks at a woman who is also holding a child

These women and children still wearing the clothes they arrived in are seen standing shortly after being selected for death at Auschwitz-Birkenau

CHURCHILL OUT, CESAR CHAVEZ IN

Biden redecorates Oval Office

By Howie Katz

One of Biden's first acts as president was to redecorate the Oval Office.  Gone was a bust of Winston Churchill that Trump had paced in the office after Obama had dumped it.

Churchill statue put back in Oval Office is not British | Daily Mail Online

Churchill's bust was replaced by busts of Rosa Parks and Cesar Chavez.

The great Winston Churchill must be persona non grata with Obama and Biden because the then British prime minister refused to appease Adolf Hitler and instead declared war on Germany when the Nazis invaded Poland.

Busts of Martin Luther King Jr., Eleanor Roosevelt and Robert F. Kennedy are also on display.

Holy shit!  There's no bust of Barack Obama.  I wouldn't be surprised if the White Obama is having a full-sized statue made of the Black Obama to place alongside of his desk.

President Trump had hung a portrait of Andrew Jackson in the Oval Office.  That was dumped too. Heaven forbid, we can't have the portrait of a slave owner in the White House.

Chavez's bust in the Oval Office really infuriates me.  When I was with the Riverside Sheriff's Department we had to deal with Chavez's union members who destroyed the crops, farm implements and livestock of farmers who refused to hire his union members.

A NEW CHAPTER IN THE HISTORY OF THE US

Let's pray that Biden will not be Obama II

RADICALISM IS IN SF DA'S BONES

San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin's parents were members of the radical and violent Weathermen

By Howie Katz and Mother Jones

San Francisco's new DA Chesa Boudin ha radicalism in his bones.  That is why uber-liberal billionaire George Soreass (sic) was a major contributor to his election campaign.

Boudin's parents Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert were members of the radical Weathermen which bombed government buildings and banks and committed armed robberies from 1969 t0 1977.  The group commonly known as the Weather Underground was a faction of the Students for a Democratic Society.

The group was allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and aimed for "the destruction of U.S. imperialism and form a classless communist world."  Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn were leaders of the Weather Underground.

From Mother Jones:

Boudin’s parents, Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, were members of the militant left-wing Weather Underground, which began as a faction of Students for a Democratic Society and gained infamy in the late ’60s and the ’70s for a spate of political bombings—including at the Pentagon and the State Department headquarters—in protest of the Vietnam War. The group was four years dead when Boudin’s parents handed their 14-month-old to a babysitter and left to participate in one of America’s most notorious crimes, the 1981 Brinks heist, for which they acted as getaway drivers—Gilbert driving and Boudin sitting shotgun in a U-Haul truck that served as a switch vehicle. The perpetrators, led by members of the Black Liberation Army, got away with $1.6 million before a shootout ensued; three people were killed—two cops and a security guard.

Boudin’s parents were sentenced to long prison sentences for their roles in the crime. His father is still incarcerated; his mother was released in 2003 and is now the co-director of the Center for Justice at Columbia University, which works on mass incarceration issues. In their absence, Boudin was raised in Chicago by their close friends and fellow Weathermen Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, now a pair of retired academics who still haunt the fever dreams of right-wingers.

Boudin as SF DA

Boudin has renounced violence to achieve political goals.  As SF DA he has gone after police officers accused of wrongdoing.  Boudin also promised to eliminate cash bail and not to prosecute cases involving quality-of-life crimes such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc.

It remains to be seen how his parents and upbringing by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn will guide his policies as San Francisco's DA.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM FOR TEXAS? ..... NO, NO AND NO!

Texans need only look at California and New York to understand why criminal justice reform just furthers crime

By Howie Katz

Big Jolly Times

January 19, 2021

Criminal justice reform is largely race based because people of color constitute a disproportionate number of inmates in America's prisons.  Civil rights groups contend that the criminal justice system is racist because about 40 percent of those imprisoned are black while blacks constitute only 13 percent of this country's population.  Disregarded is the fact that blacks commit a disproportionate  amount of crime.

The reformers also complain about the number of nonviolent offenders that are doing time just for the possession of drugs, most of them being black.  They are deliberately misleading the public, including our lawmakers.  Those doing time for possession are, with only a few exceptions, drug dealers who plea bargained the charges against them from dealing to possession in order to receive a lighter sentence.

Criminal justice reform is largely an effort by the liberal hug-a-criminal crowd, but conservatives also favor reforms because of the money that is saved by reduced prison populations.

In December 2018, Congress passed the First Step Act, a bipartisan bill that reduced some harsh sentences and gave more federal inmates a way to earn an early release.  The act also funded programs to help released inmates succeed in the free world.  Thousands of inmates, mostly drug offenders, got shorter sentences from the First Step Act, but the act applies only to federal inmates.  To show his support for act, President Trump commuted the life sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a black woman who was convicted in 1996 on eight criminal counts for her involvement in a Memphis cocaine trafficking ring.  At the behest of Kim Kardashian, Trump then pardoned her.

In Texas, the leading criminal justice reform activist is Scott Henson whose blog 'Grits for Breakfast' wold be more correctly named if it read "Grits for Cop Haters."  Besides bashing the police, Henson has called for criminal justice reforms, especially for abolishing cash bail.

While it is unfortunate that many people remain jailed for weeks, even months, simply because they are too poor to come up with their bail money,  abolishing cash bail altogether is akin to throwing the baby out with the bathwater.  A better way is for judges to take a careful look at the offender when setting bail  An offender with no serious criminal record who has a job and is supporting a family should be released on his own recognizance.

Texans need only look at California and New York to understand why criminal justice reform just furthers crime.  The reforms passed in those two states have been disastrous, resulting in a spike of the crime rate, particular in homicides.

California has reduced many former felonies to misdemeanors with the result that San Francisco has become the auto theft capital of the US.  And law enforcement authorities insist that a significant statewide rise in crime is the result of the state's criminal justice reforms.

If you ask a NYC resident how he feels about Gov. Andrew Cuomo's criminal justice reforms, you will get an earful, if not a mouthful of fist.  In NY even violent criminals are now released without bail. Offenders have been rearrested the day after their release only to be released again until arrested again shortly afterward for yet another crime.  in several cases the new crime was murder.

DAs have also instituted their own criminal justice reforms.  Recently elected LA DA George Gascón ha eliminated the death penalty and life in prison without the possibility of parole for cop killers.  Uber-liberal billionaire George Soreass (sic), who contributed $500,000 to Houston's Kim Ogg for her first DA campaign, gave George Gascón $2,250,000 for his LA campaign

In San Francisco, DA Chesa Boudin's idea of criminal justice reform is to go after police officers accused of wrongdoing.  Boudin also promised to eliminate cash bail and not to prosecute cases involving quality-of-life crimes such as public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, blocking a sidewalk, etc.  As a result San Francisco has become a camping ground for the homeless, who fill the city's streets and sidewalks with their feces.

If criminal justice reformers had their way, no nonviolent offender would be imprisoned.  That is a very dangerous idea.  Many years ago, a Houston narcotics officer parked his car across the street from a bar.  He went inside the bar to arrest a drug dealer whom he had arrested a number of times before without any trouble.  They had even gotten on a first name calling basis.  This time as before, the officer did not handcuff or search the arrestee.  As they started to cross the street, the nonviolent offender pulled out a gun and shot the HPD officer dead.

In another case years ago, a hot check passer went into a Houston grocery store and tried to pay for his purchases with a bad check.  You cannot be any more nonviolent than by writing bad checks,  When the cashier was alerted by Telecheck that he was passing a hot check, she started to call the police. That's when this nonviolent criminal pulled out a gun and shot her dead.  So today's nonviolent criminal can be tomorrow's violent criminal, even a murderer.

A few years ago the Texas legislature passed some criminal justice reforms that resulted in the closure of several prisons.  Texas has been doing fine since and doesn't need the reforms Scott Henson keeps advocating.  Texans sure as hell do not want their state to enact the disastrous reforms of California and New York that just further crime.

BILLY AND JENNY WANT TO GET MARRIED

Little Billy and Jenny are only 10 years old, but they know they are in love.

One day they decide that they want to get married,so Billy goes to Jenny's father to ask him for her hand.

Billy bravely walks up to him and says, "Mr. Smith, me and Jenny are in love and I want to ask you for her hand in marriage."

Thinking that this was just the cutest thing, Mr. Smith replies, "Well, Billy, you are only 10. Where will you two live?"

Without even taking a moment to think about it, Billy replies, "In Jenny's room. It's bigger than mine and we can both fit there nicely."

Mr. Smith says with a huge grin, "Okay, then how will you live? You're not old enough to get a job. You'll need to support Jenny."

Again, Billy instantly replies, "Our allowance, Jenny makes five bucks a week and I make 10 bucks a week.
That's about 60 bucks a month, so that should do us just fine."

Mr. Smith is impressed Billy has put so much thought into this. "Well, Billy, it seems like you have everything figured out. I just have one more question. What will you do if the two of you should have little children of your own?"

Billy just shrugs his shoulders and says, "Well, we've been lucky so far."

Mr. Smith no longer thinks the little shit is adorable.

THE UNSINKABLE TRUMPANIC

Capt, Donald has crashed his unsinkable ship straight into an iceberg

By Howie Katz

In 1912, the British launched the Titanic, a huge passenger ship which its builders declared to be unsinkable.  On its maiden voyage the Titanic struck an ice berg and slowly sunk.  Of the 2,224 passengers and crew aboard, more than 1,500 died.

In 2016, a NY real estate developer and TV personality built what he believed was truly an unsinkable ship.  Shortly after it was launched, the Trumpanic deliberately crashed into the good ship Hillary and sunk it.

During the time the Trumpanic was afloat, it operated on a new type of fuel called Tweets.

Capt. Donald overcame one mutiny by its Democratic crew.

Finally, on November 3, 2020, Capt. Donald recklessly steered the ship straight into a huge iceberg called the electorate.  As the Trumpanic began to slowly sink, Capt. Donald released a flurry of tweets hoping they would force the Trumpanic on through the iceberg.  Alas, it only made matters worse.

Right now the wrecked Trumpanic is just barely afloat.  The ship is expected to go completely under by January20 if not before.

The question is that when the Trumpanic finally goes down, will it take the Republican party down with it.

HAPPY SCIATICA

Spending Christmas in the hospital was not enough

By Howie Katz

After I got home from the hospital Tuesday following seven days battling coronavirus, things did not go well at all.

I was still constipated - I know everyone thinks I'm full of shit - and two enemas and two bottles plus two bottles of Magnesium Citrate saline laxative only helped a little.  I developed this excruciating pain where my back meets my butt.

Finally, on New Year's Day my son called for an ambulance.  All the nearby ambulances were on call, so a big fire truck with its emergency lights flashing constantly waited in front of my house for an ambulance to arrive from Hobby Airport, some 13 miles away.   During the half-hour wait, my son gave the attending firefighters the rundown on my condition.

I was kept in the emergency room for about four hours before it was decided that my pain was the sciatica.  They gave me some medication and let me go back home.

I still have some pain but it is now bearable.

I never dreamed that I would be spending Christmas Day 2020 and New Year's Day 2021 in the hospital.
