Which Actually Is Not A Bad Idea
by Bob Walsh
Both New York and Connecticut have set up Covid-19 ONLY nursing homes. At least one in CT. is now operational. I am unsure about those in NY. I actually think this is a good idea. Fredo Cuomo's insane idea of forcing nursing homes to accept Covid-19 kick-backs from hospitals was, IMHO, directly responsible for the fact that not quite half of the fatalities in NYC were in nursing homes.
This of course does not mean that the patients will get any better care or will die at a slower rate. It does, however, mean that maybe those who are known to be sick can not infect those that are maybe not sick. They are requiring regular and frequent testing of staff and actually providing PPE for staff so that they don't have to wear black plastic garbage bags for protection. (Think that's a joke? It's not.)
Cuomo has changed the nursing home policy. Of course he did it without admitting that the old policy was fucking stupid. If the old policy was NOT fucking stupid doesn't that mean the new policy IS fucking stupid? That also means that Cuomo is fucking stupid, and an arrogant shit-for-brains to boot.
I wonder if he avoids going out on the water in small boats with close relatives? Just curious.
