I admit I didn't think it would work. So far, as I write this, the Royal Thai navy divers have managed to swim four of those kids out of that cave. I am officially impressed.
Cave diving is I am told one of the scariest things imaginable. They are dealing with teen and even pre-teen non-swimmers who have zero dive experience let alone cave diving.
Each boy has two minders as they exit the cave, presumably one in front and one behind. The passage is narrow and winding and so small that for part of it you can't carry your tank on your back. I wouldn't have given you a plugged nickel for getting them out that way. So far they are batting four for four. Way to go people.
