A gun and bullets were confiscated from a Columbus kindergartner

The Columbus police department reports that on Friday they received a call that a 6-year-old boy was seen at the Africentric Early College with what appeared to be a heavy object in his pants.
A school resource officer confronted the boy at the kindergarten entrance. Billy the Kid decided not to shoot it out and surrendered his pistol and bullets to the officer.
Billy the Kid will not face any charges because of his age but the CPD gun crimes unit is investigating where and how he obtained the gun.
