CALIFORNIA BEING SUED OVER SHITTY SCHOOLS

A high school diploma in CA only means that you weren't in prison for the final exam and you tested at the 8th grade level for a 12-year diploma

by Bob Walsh

A public advocacy law firm has filed suit against the formerly great state of California, asserting (accurately) that fewer than 50% of CA students are reading at grade level. They state that 11 of the 26 crappiest school districts in the country are in California.

It should be noted however that CA state law requires that students be taught about the contributions of LBGT persons to the wonderfulness that is CA, so they probably have that down good.

The plaintiffs want to create a system to monitor literacy levels within the CA school system.

Personally I don't see the need. The system is turning out under-educated students. A high school diploma in CA only means that you weren't in prison for the final exam and you tested at the 8th grade level for a 12-year diploma, mostly, kinda-sorta. Everybody knows it. Nobody cares that has any juice to do anything about it. The schools are politically correct, and hand out free condoms. Everything else is secondary.
