SILENCE IS THE PROBLEM TO BEGIN WITH

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has accused Pope Francis of covering up the sexual abuse by priests and some of the Catholic Church’s hierarchy. He has called on the Pope to resign.

On his Monday morning homily at the Vatican, Pope Francis said:

“With people who don’t have good will, who seek only scandal, who want only division, who seek only destruction — including within the family: silence, prayer.”

“The truth is humble, the truth is silent. May the Lord give us the grace to discern when we should speak and when we should stay silent.”

Stay silent? Holy shit! Staying silent is what the Church did as countless priests, some of them rising to the Church’s hierarchy, sexually abused many thousands of children throughout the world.

Silence is the problem to begin with. Shame on Pope Francis! He should have cleaned house. Instead, he acts like a criminal who has been told by his lawyer not to say anything. By calling for silence, Francis has further disgraced an already deeply disgraced Catholic Church.
