Tyrone Harvin 14, lived a block down the street from Dorothy Mae Neal, 83, in West Baltimore. Young Tyrone was busted Friday for raping and brutally murdering his elderly neighbor.
Court documents reveal that Tyrone was in her apartment last month where he picked up a lamp and rearranged Dorothy Mae’s face with it. The victim was also raped.
Dorothy Mae was not found for several days. She died from the beating at a hospital on August 30.
When first questioned by the police, Tyrone said he did not know the woman and insisted he had never been to her home. But then he changed his story and admitted he had helped the old woman take out her trash and talked to her about church. He said that while he was in her apartment he picked up a lamp to look at it and accidentally dropped it. However, the young bastard continues to deny having raped and murdered Dorothy Mae.
Tyrone is being held as an adult. When he appeared before Baltimore District Judge Devy Patterson Russell on Monday, his attorney requested that Tyrone be released on Bai. Request denied. Judge Russell said Tyrone poses an extreme risk to public safety.
