The State of Hawaii has sent out a form letter to holders of medical marijuana cards informing them that possession of firearms by habitual users of marijuana is illegal and ordering them to turn in their weapons or face further legal action.
The feds maintain that firearms ownership is not compatible with marijuana use, though as far as I know has not yet taken any action against anyone on that basis. Also, if I remember correctly (I could be wrong) a person can use a medical marijuana card to semi-legally possess and transport marijuana for another person without being a user themselves.
This will almost certainly land in court and could get interesting.
