Ok, I admit it, that headline is a little tortured. Be that as it may, it seems that the A. G. has appointed John H. Durham to investigate how the Russian Collusion probe came into existence in the first place. Durham is a career federal prosecutor with something of a specialty in dealing with corruption in office, especially by law enforcement.
That talking heads are openly speculating that the democraps are sweating big time. The FISA warrants that were used to start much of the ball rolling HAD TO BE approved by high level DOJ people. Assuming they used the Steele Dossier, (which everybody seems to concede that they did) and they KNEW it was bogus (which seems also to be accurate) it will be interesting to see how they used it as a legit predicate to the FISA court.
Also, the Russia Collusion probe actually started well into the Obama administration. It will no doubt be interesting to finally find out who authorized the probe and what justification (if any) was used to spy on American citizens and an opposition political party.
Hope clouds reason. I know that. Still, ...............
