SHORT-TIMER SUICIDE, STATE ON THE HOOK

by Bob Walsh

Erica Rocha was 15 and living in a group home back in February of 1996 when she shot the lady in charge of the home. She was tried as an adult, or was going to be when she copped and got a 19 year sentence as a guest of the people of the formerly great state of California..

In April of 2016, one day before her parole hearing at which time it is very likely she would have been released, she self-rehabilitated by doing a chandalier impression. Of course her family sued for damages in federal court.

The family was just awarded $1.5 million. Thought you might like to know.
