30 Walmartians in Gates, NY bashed each other in a brawl that started over an insult of a woman for the dress she was wearing

Walmart is not known for attracting a high-class clientele. That is why you won’t find a Walmart store in The Hamptons … the Long Island Hamptons, that is. Nor will you find a Walmart in Newport Beach, California. You are more likely to find a Walmart store near a trailer park than near a wealthy subdivision.
Walmart shoppers are known as Walmartians. About 30 Walmartians got into a brawl Sunday evening at a Walmart store in the upstate New York town of Gates.
The brawl started when two 17-year-olds made fun of a dress worn by a 24-year-old woman. Things quickly got out of hand with adults joining the teenagers in the fight. About 30 Walmartians got involved in the melee. Some of the brawlers ran to the sporting goods section and grabbed baseball bats to use as weapons. The opponents threw food cans at each other. A trash can was also hurled.
A 17-year-old girl was arrested and faces several charges, including assault, after a 52-year-old man was hit in the head by a can of food she threw. Three others were also busted on disorderly conduct charges.
With the usual assortment of Walmartians shopping at its stores – and those in Gates are not atypical - Walmart will never be welcomed to the likes of The Hamptons and Newport Beach.
