RUN FOR YOUR LIVES

By Greg ‘The Gadfly’ Doyle

I have nothing nice to say about terrorism in Nice, France.

In spite of our president's repeated and feckless efforts to sway public opinion toward some innocuous empathy toward Islam, within minutes of the media description of how the attack was carried out we all knew it was a terrorist attack carried out by someone who was in all likelihood an Islamic Terrorist.

Surprise!!! The suspect was Muslim! Imagine that! What in the world could possibly inspire a young Muslim man to drive a truck into a crowd of unarmed civilians, mowing down toddlers and small children? A wild guess might be his utter devotion to the Holy book of Islam.

Should we surmise that all those Bastille Day partiers were NOT interested in embracing peaceful Islam and the benevolent teachings of the prophet Mohamed as the suspect fired his weapon into the packed and panicked crowd---killing scores and wounding hundreds?

I have heard some of the heart-wrenching eye-witness reports. "Run for your lives" seemed to be the most common response in that moment of sudden and unsuspected terror. Shall we, as a nation, accept this as normal?

Shall we disarm and allow our government to decide when and where to protect us. I policed a community of 70,000 souls in Southern California for almost three decades before I retired. We had an average response time to a shooting of about three minutes.

How long did it take this Tunisian-born terrorist to kill so many unarmed innocents before the cops showed up to engage him? Count the wounded and the dead for your answer.

It is not difficult to identify our enemies in this jihad-driven madness. But apparently, we do have trouble naming them, calling them out, and destroying them before they destroy us. And that difficulty in naming the Enemy begins and ends in the Oval Office.

Our president has no trouble vilifying police officers in incidents involving White on Black shootings before all the facts are gathered. But call a terrorist a Muslim? No!!!

At this particular fork in the road, our nation must prepare for more bloodshed. Where shall it be? On our soil or that of our enemies?

If you prefer being a soft target, by all means listen to your government and voluntarily disarm yourselves. However, get used to hearing "Allah be praised!" and "Run for your lives" simultaneously at shopping malls, sporting events, 4th of July, dance recitals and concerts, in congregational settings, at political rallies, in airports, bus and railroad stations, bars and night clubs and anywhere else large groups of unarmed infidels (non-Muslims) can be targeted.

Why would supposedly peace-loving Muslims target us? That is the question our president will not address.

Here's a strong possibility: Because we appear weak to our enemies. We appear defenseless and unwilling to respond. If we cannot profile them, detain and disarm them or, if need be, dispatch them to the Prophet's side, then how do we stop them?

Here's a great idea! Let's allow 10,000 Syrian refugees onto our soil in September, as part of the president's plan. One of many bad ideas brought about by this government.

The policies of a do-nothing, politically correct president and our government have made us vulnerable. While we avoid using the M-word at all costs, those Muslims intent on annihilating the rest of the non-Muslim world have free reign to choose where and when to plot and attack all of us.

Allah Board!!! Go on! Run for your lives!
