STUPID THIEF, OR MERELY UNLUCKY?

By Bob Walsh

There was an interesting burglary recently at the Noe Valley (SF) home of Phillip Meyer-Schmeling, who is the CEO of Noa Technologies. A thief got his SUV, a laptop, and three
very nice bicycles.

Nice thing is that Noa Technologies manufactures GPS tags for goodies, mostly they market to bicycle ride-share operations. The SUV, the lap-top and all three bicycles were tagged. The victim could tell the cops in real-time EXACTLY where his stuff was.

The victim got his goodies back and, according to the local constabulary, arrests are pending (at least as long as the thief or thieves are not protected illegal aliens).
