A year-old dashcam video surfaces to take a huge chunk out of a Georgia police lieutenant’s ass

Lt. Greg Abbott had a 27-year long successful career as an officer with the Cobb County, Georgia police force. It all came to a screeching halt Wednesday when a July 2016 dashcam video suddenly surfaced for the media’s attention.
The video shows Abbot during a traffic stop. The woman driver is afraid she is going to be shot if she makes any kind of a move. Abbott then tells her:
“But you're not black. Remember? We only kill black people. Yeah. We only kill black people, right? All the videos you've seen, have you seen (inaudible) people get killed?”
Within a New York minute the video led to an apocalyptic uproar. Cobb County Police Chief Mike Register, who has been chief only since June, quickly announced that Abbott would be fired.
Abbott’s lawyer says the officer was only trying to deescalate a situation involving a noncompliant woman. If so, the lieutenant sure used an extremely poor choice of words. He flushed himself right down the crapper.
I’m sure Abbott never dreamed that the video would come to light. Whoever within the department led the media to request a copy of that video must have had it in for the lieutenant.
I hope Abbott will be able to retire before they fire him. If he gets fired, he will loose all his retirement benefits.
