Yes, it's true. Jerry Brown has managed to steal $84 million from the federal government. AND they want it back.
The Inspector General of the Interior Dept. revealed on Friday that $84 million in federal funds was used in the planning of Jerry's twin tunnel project that will, if it actually happens, divert (steal) massive amounts of water from NoCal to keep the gold courses and lawns in SoCal green.
The trouble is, these costs, as well as the significant actual building costs, are supposed to be born by the various water districts (end users) involved in this massive rip-off of natural resources and NOT by the feds.
It also seems the people involved "forgot" to mention to the various federal oversight groups, including congress, that they were using federal funding to plan this scheme. Whoops.
In any event they want their $84 million back. I wonder if they will take a check?
