It seems that there will be a new Star Trek series on CBS this fall. The ship will be the DISCOVERY and will be about a10-year pre-quell to the original Star Trek series. The Captain and First Officer are both women. The Science Officer is a gay white male.
I am guessing it will be dripping with political correctness. I am hoping that it will also be interesting, or at least amusing, to watch.
