First, I will say that I do not believe that Donald Trump is a stupid man. He is very much aware of the old mantra that says during a primary you run to the edges, during the general election you run to the center. Clearly he isn’t doing so. Does he care?
Much of Trump’s appeal is that he is NOT a politician. Much of his support might disappear if he becomes one. Why should his supporters, rabid though they can be, continue to support him if he becomes one more two-faced asswipe who says one thing and, when they achieve power, become something else entirely? Decisions are made by those who show up. Would Trump’s supporters show up if he turns left suddenly?
It is hard to be strident without appearing to be unhinged, especially with the MSM trying to make you out to be a psychopath every time you open your mouth.
Then I remember the Scottish Referendum less than a year ago. Right up until election morning the polls all said it was too close to call and the question would be settled by a very small fraction of 1%. The actual vote was 11%. Then take a look at the Brexit vote. Same prediction. The actual split was about 4%.
The intelligencia are saying, over and over, very loudly, that if you even THINK about voting for Trump you are a racist misogynistic retard. It is possible they may find that there a lot more Trump supporters out there than they imagine. When you add in the people who don’t necessarily like Trump but hate Hillary and those who think the whole system is corrupt and want to blow it up, there just might be enough people to do the job. Don’t forget the Libertarians and the Greens. They just might be a significant issue this election.
Would it be easier if there is an announcement just before Halloween that Hillary, Bill and Chelsey are being indicted for fraud? Hell yes. Could Trump pull it out even if that doesn’t happen? Maybe, just maybe, yes. (I am just not betting on it.)
EDITOR’S NOTE: Only The Daily Caller and the Daily Mail have reported that the Clinton Foundation is under investigation by the United States Attorney's office in the Southern District of New York.
But let’s say that Hillary is indicted just before Halloween. She would have to step down. But the Democrats would replace her with Joe Biden, and despite his many known gaffes, he would trounce Trump and drag enough down-ballot senatorial candidates with him so that the Republicans would lose their majority in the Senate and possibly even the House.
You may not believe that Trump is a stupid man, but stupid is as stupid does!
