A FEW MINUTES OF ENTERTAINMENT FROM THE'RED CARD' BAND

Kenny Stainton, the guitarist on the far left, is a rabid ice hockey fan who played in Houston's youth hockey games the same years as my son, but in a younger division. Kenny was also the 'stick boy' for the Houston Aeros of the World Hockey Association when legendary Gordie Howe and his sons Mark and Marty played for the team and when my wife was responsible for the team jerseys. He still plays on a Houston men's league hockey team.

The Red Card band was formed 17 years ago Kenny has been coaching girls lacrosse teams and 'Red Card' is a game misconduct in lacrosse. The band was formed 17 years ago. They wanted to call it '5' for fighting but apparently there is a fairly successful band with that name. Everyone in the band has a day job.

The band plays for a lot of charitable fundraisers.
