THIS IS ACTUALLY KIND OF INTERESTING

by Bob Walsh

A remarkable ship wreck discovered a while back in the Baltic has been documented as the oldest known intact shipwreck ever found. The Greek trading ship has been carbon dated as being 2,400 years old.

The ship was laying on its side with the mast and rudder still intact on it in 6,500 feet of water. There is pretty much zero free oxygen in the water at that depth meaning organic material such as wood can be remarkably preserved.

The ship is being intensely surveyed with remote control submersible cameras.
