Many public schools in the formerly great state of California now provide three meals a day to students whether they qualify financially for it or not. Assuming that Jerry Brown signs a bill headed to his desk they will now be required by law to provide feminine hygiene products free of charge to students (presumably only female students but I admit I haven't read the bill yet).
Damn shame they aren't actually required by law to provide an actual education, but you can't have everything.
