A POEM

By Jean McCain

I ran a lot of rivers, and rambled lots of roads

I kissed some handsome princes and watched them turn to toads.

I had a lot of jobs to do, I tried to do them well

I gained some life experiences, The stories I could tell!

And with all that love of living, I found two things sure and true

The things you do to others will someday be done to you.

When loved ones move and friends "Go West" one thing you need to know-

It's sadder, far, for those who stay, than those who get to go!
