When Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Muslim, was condemned for saying members of Congress support Israel because they are being paid to do so by AIPAC, Sen. Bernie Sanders called her up to offer her his personal support

Last week, Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Muslim, said that American Jews who support Israel have “allegiance to a foreign country.” That statement is as antisemitic as it can get! It comes on the heels of a statement she made last month in which she said members of Congress support Israel because they are being paid to do so by AIPAC.
Omar has repeatedly made ant-Semitic statements. I n 2012she said: “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.” She is a supporter of the BDS movement which is designed to destroy Israel.
When Omar was condemned for her AIPAC payoff statement, Sen. Bernie Sanders rushed to her defense by phoning Omar to offer her his personal support. That’s not surprising, considering that Sanders is an anti-Semitic Jew.
Omar’s anti-Semitism does not bother me nearly as much as the anti-Semitism of Sanders. The senator has demonstrated that he is plain and simple a self-hating Jew.
In reaction to Omar’s allegiance statement, the House is considering a resolution condemning anti-Semitism. There seems to be some disagreement on whether or not to name Omar in the resolution.
I wonder if Bernie Sanders will rush to defend Omar this time.
As for that ‘allegiance to a foreign country’ crap, I am proud to be a staunch supporter of Israel and I support its right- wing faction too. But make no mistake about it, my allegiance is to only one country, and that country is the United States of America!
