The UCLA basketball team was in China to play Georgia Tech. The team returned to Los Angeles without three of its players.
Freshmen LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley were caught by surveillance cameras shoplifting merchandize from three high-end stores near their hotel in Hanzghou. Among the items stolen were Louis Vuitton sunglasses.
The Chinese cops were not very hospitable to the visiting thieves. The three were briefly locked up in the local pokey. They were released but put under house arrest at the luxury hotel where the team had been staying. They may be there for some time while the Chinese judicial process churns along.
Colleges refer to their ball players as ‘student athletes.’ Well here is a chance for the three thieving ghetto boys to get a good down to earth education while locked up in a Chinese slammer.
In America their assholes would be somewhat bigger when they left jail than when they entered. I wonder if it’s the same in China?
