The unarmed security guard who was shot 11 times Sunday, April 9 by three suspicious men in the rear parking lot of Galveston’s San Louis Resort Hotel succumbed to his wounds.
Phillip Molis died late Saturday night at the UTMB hospital where he was being treated for the 11 gunshot wounds.
Shortly after the shooting, Galveston cops found Tyronne Haynes, 21, of Missouri City hiding near the scene of the shooting. Haynes is a member of a Missouri City gang called Gorilla Mob 187. Although a prime suspect in the security guard’s murder, he is currently jailed on other charges.
The cops are still looking for the other two shooters.
