CHIEF CRAZY TRUMP ORDERS BRAVES TO WHACK SYRIA WITH TOMAHAWKS

Responding to Assad’s use of chemical weapons, President Trump acted decisively and swiftly with Tomahawk cruise missiles against the Syrian airbase from which the chemical bombs were flown

President Trump acted decisively and quickly in responding to Syrian President Assad’s use of chemical weapons against innocent men, women and children. Under the Commander-in-Chief’s order, the U.S. Navy fired 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at the Syrian airbase from which the chemical bombs were flown.

President Trump deserves to be praised for his decisive and swift action.

But Republican Senator Rand Paul was critical of Trump for bypassing Congress. And several congressional Democrats were critical of the attack on Syria. Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton’s running mate, said the attack without authorization of congress was “unconstitutional.”

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who sits on the House Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committees, said:

"This escalation is short-sighted and will lead to more dead civilians, more refugees, the strengthening of al-Qaeda and other terrorists, and a possible nuclear war between the United States and Russia. This Administration has acted recklessly without care or consideration of the dire consequences of the United States' attack on Syria without waiting for the collection of evidence from the scene of the chemical poisoning."

Far-left groups slammed the attack on Syria. George Soros funded MoveOn.org released the following statement:

"This illegal and unauthorized escalation could have devastating consequences, killing innocent Syrians and costing the lives of U.S. service members.

Let’s be clear: There’s no doubt that Bashar Assad is a brutal dictator who has slaughtered his own people and is complicit in the use of chemical weapons. But this is no humanitarian mission. These are missiles ordered by a flailing president with plummeting approval ratings, trying to show how ‘tough’ he can be. The result will likely be increased suffering for the Syrian people. And this unilateral U.S. attack could possibly even draw in Russia and Iran, which have been close partners of the Assad regime.

Congress must not allow Trump to act unilaterally. It must stay in session and force consideration of an Authorization for Use of Military Force before any more military action is taken. And moreover, members of Congress should vote ‘no’ to Trump’s march to war."

Internationally, the Russians accused America of violating international law by attacking a sovereign nation. But Israeli Prime Minister Binjamin Netanyahu quickly supported Trump, saying:

“Israel fully supports President Trump’s decision and hopes that this message of resolve...will resonate not only in Damascus, but in Tehran, Pyongyang and elsewhere.”

Trump’s action may give Kim Jong-un pause to think about how far he can push the U.S. with his testing of ballistic missiles and development of nuclear weapons.

Unlike President Obama who drew a red line and did nothing when Syria crossed it, Trump didn't fool around with any red line. Praise is what President Trump deserves, not condemnation!

The United States Navy fired 59 tomahawk cruise missiles at an air base in Syria yesterday. Of those 59, 23 hit the base. Maybe it's just me but isn't that a poor average for so-called smart weapons?
