After Israel allegedly blew up a hospital in Gaza, killing 500 men, women and children, the worldwide media immediately blamed the catastrophe on an Israeli air strike. The media was full of gut wrenching picture of badly injured children, as well as bodies of those killed.

The images were indescribably awful. Bloodied, mangled bodies littered a parking lot. Others – men, women, children – lay dead and dying inside. (Above) Wounded Palestinian children inside al-Shifa hospital on October 17, 2023

When Israel denied it had bombed the hospital and claimed the blast was caused by an errant Islamic Jihad rocket, I shook my head in disbelief. None of the rockets possessed by Hamas and Islamic Jihad could cause so much damage and kill so many people. It had to be an air strike. I was ready to condemn the Jewish state,

But then I ran across a BBC article which examined the blast site. Pictures of the hospital parking lot where the blast occurred showed a bunch of wrecked and burned out cars. The hospital building was untouched except for some broken windows. The pictures also showed the crater caused by whatever hit the parking lot.

That crater was very small, maybe four feet wide and a couple of feet deep. That crater was not caused by an air strike. An air strike would have cratered the whole hospital parking lot and severely damaged the hospital building.

The crater convinced me that the blast at the hospital was not caused by Israel.

Hamas called Israel's claim about an errand rocket an "outrageous lie." But what is really outrageous is Hamas's accusation and how the worldwide media ran with it. Today, much of the media still blames the catastrophe on an "air strike."

Now, a word about the reported death toll. While dozens were obviously killed in the parking lot, but 500 ... no way, not even close! That's another outrageous Hamas lie and the media continues to go with it.

And I'm not the only one fooled. The media reports have led to mass protests and riots all over the world.
