ATTACK OF THE GIANT RODENTS

by Bob Walsh

The formerly great state of California has developed a plan to deal with Nutria, large beaver-size rodents that are beginning to infest the delta area in serious numbers. They eat voraciously and are very hard on levees. There is serious worry that the damn things will seriously impact the delta. The state is now spending about $2 million to try to control the things. Most of the problem occurs on private property so access for wildlife officials can be an issue.

If it were me I would just put a bounty on the damn things, but I guess they just want to get rid of them, not actually kill them. Maybe give them plane tickets to Honduras.
