MORON-IN-CHIEF? NO, HE’S CRAZY-IN-CHIEF

President Trump has by now got me convinced he’s got some loose screws in his head

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson reportedly called President Trump a moron and has not denied it. I think he was being rather kind. Crazy would have been a more appropriate description.

Every time someone criticizes him, Trump lashes back with personal attacks on Twitter. The latest example is his reaction to Tennessee Senator Bob Corker’s criticism of Trump’s recklessness which cpuld lead us “on the path to World War III.”

Corker, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and formerly a strong supporter of Trump, made his warning during a 20 minute interview with The New York Times on Sunday. He also said Trump was acting like he was on his former TV reality show, which concerned him and “would have to concern anyone who cares about our nation.”

Trump responded with a personal attack against Corker, tweeting that he said “No” to the senator when Corker “begged” him for his endorsement in the upcoming election campaign. Trump went on to say that Corker felt he couldn’t win without the endorsement and decided not to seek reelection. Corker “didn't have the guts to run,” Trump added.

Corker responded with: “It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”

Corker’s warning about WW3 obviously referred to the threats Trump has made against North Korea and it’s leader Kim Jong-un. I’m sure Trump and Corker will continue to go back and forth on Twitter, but is this any way to run the country?

Every time I have been critical of Trump on BGB, “Anonymous” has commented about what a great job Trump has been doing, that he’s done exactly what he promised to do, that his tweets are telling it as it is and are loved by his supporters and that he’s accomplished much more than any of his predecessors during the time he’s been in office.

It is true that Trump has issued many more executive orders than his predecessors, but on key issues like health care reform – repealing Obamacare – he’s bombed out in Congress. No wall on the Mexican border is in sight and he’s not likely to get his tax reform passed by the Senate. His ban on Muslim immigrants has been blocked in the courts until part of it was upheld by SCOTUS.

You can expect Pelosi, Schumer and other Democrats to savage him, but when a president cannot get senators from his own party to support him, he is in deep shit.

I think that “Anonymous” is a good friend of mine who has never lets me forget that I thought Hillary would win by a landslide. But I wonder how much longer he can defend the blowhard now leading our country.

Trump’s personal attacks against anyone who criticizes him characterizes an extremely thin-skinned individual, the mark of an egomaniac. In other words, we have a Crazy-in-Chief in the Whitehouse. Those loose screws in his head need to be tightened by some serious head shrinking.

If this craziness continues, it will spell disaster for the Republicans in the next congressional elections.

Having said all that, I’m not sorry I voted for Trump. The alternative would have been crooked Hillary, a devious, scheming, lying and politically uber-ambitious bitch. Never in our history has this country had two candidates as awful as the two sorry asses, Trump and Hillary Clinton. If that’s the best we can do, we deserve what we got.
