A very interesting lawsuit was filed a couple of days ago in federal court in Connecticut. The suit is filed against the Connecticut Association of Schools and the athletic conference that their high schools compete under.
There are two trans-females (genetic males) who are basically wiping out the competition. The three plaintiffs, Selina Soule, Chelsea Mitchell and Alanna Smith, assert that by allowing these males to compete as females they are being aced out of recognition and potential athletic scholarships. Connecticut is one of seven states that allow transgender high school athletes to compete without restriction. They are also seeking an injunction against the trans-athletes ending further action on the case.
It will be very interesting to see how the law works out in this one.
