China claims to have landed a spacecraft on the far side of the moon but pictures returned to earth were a hoax produced by Jackie Chan

Those of us who have not been fooled by some of the wild claims about space exploration know that the American moon landing on July 20, 1969 was a hoax staged so we could brag about getting to the moon before the Soviets could do it. NASA paid Stanley Kubrick a hefty sum to film the fake landing and Kubrick paid Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to star in the movie. It took seven script writers to come up with Armstrong's now famous line, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
As my friend Dave Freeman reminded me, the moon landing was staged at Universal Studios. It's common knowledge in Southern California, where the studios are located. They have some of the props still stored in a warehouse there.
On Wednesday, the administrator of the China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced that the lunar explorer Chang'e 4 touched down on the far side, also known as the dark side of the moon. Zhang Kejian went on to say that rover Yutu-2 rolled out of the spacecraft to explore the lunar surface. CNSA then released what it claimed to be the first pictures of China’s feat from the moon.
But CIA director Gina Haspel announced Thursday that the reported moon landing was nothing but a hoax. The CIA had been keeping close tabs on CNSA amd learned that the agency had employed actor-producer Jackie Chan to produce a fake moon setting and pictures purporting to show the lunar landing and rover rollout.
According to the CIA, Chan produced the fake landing and rover pictures in a remote region of the Gobi Desert.
Haspel said the Chinese deliberately chose the far side of the moon so that our galactic telescopes could not detect they did not land on the moon.
The Chinese people are celebrating what they are led to believe is a great space victory, but which like the American purported moon landing, is just a big feel good hoax.
President Trump was quick to go on Twitter:

Hah, caught the Chinese cheating again. Chang'e 4 Yutu-2 what a joke. Thanks CIA for making us aware of Chinese moon landing hoax.

Jackie that’s one stunt you didn’t get away with. But you’re still my favorite action star. You’ve always made me laugh and you’re still making me laugh with this one.
The Dow tumbled 660 points Thursday. While most analysts blamed the plunge on a Chinese economic slowdown, they also agreed that Trump’s tweets on China’s moon landing hoax did not help.
