If there was an IQ test to be on a jury in CA Angela Davis would either be doing a dirt dance or rotting in prison. She isn't. But she is at least limping a bit today after the Birmingham Alabama Civil Rights Institute withdrew an award they intended to give her.
Ms. Davis was supposed to get the Fred Shuttlesworth Human Rights Award at it's annual bash next month. After her rabid anti-Semitic statements were examined in some detail, they board concluded that "...she unfortunately does not meet all of the criteria on which the award is based."
Ms. Davis, a Birmingham native, asserted that she was stunned. Whether she was stunned that anybody gives a shit that she is an anti-Semite or is stunned that anybody noticed was not clear.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Southern Jewish Life complained that "Davis has been an outspoken voice in the boycott Israel movement, and advocates extensively on college campuses for the isolation of the Jewish state, saying Israel engages in ethnic cleansing and is connected to police violence against African-Americans in the United States."
Davis should be serving a life-term in prison for supplying the guns that were used in the 1970 Marion County, California courthouse shootout that left a judge and three other men dead.
