Little Mariah died in San Joaquin County of a meth overdose in October of last year. She was three years old and weighed 33 pounds. She had been removed from her mother and grandmother's house in Alameda County and placed in foster care in Stockton. Just eight days after she had been placed in Stockton, and 13 days before she died, she was rushed to the hospital due to meth poisoning. She was NOT removed from the foster home after that incident.
San Joaquin County authorities have complied with the law concerning release of records relating to these cases. Authorities in Alameda County have refused to comply with the law, and have refused to say why they have refused to comply with the law.
One might almost think they were trying to hide something. Like maybe grotesque incompetence.
