Trump is accused of blatant racism for calling Haiti and African countries shitholes

According to the Washington Post, President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they discussed protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to several people briefed on the meeting.
The meeting consisted of both Republican and Democratic lawmakers. A Democratic aide told the Washington post that Trump remarked:
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?”
The alleged remark was immediately pounced upon by a slew of Democrats and a Republican lawmaker or two, with the Democrats accusing Trump of blatant racism.
Trump denies making that remark, but Senator Richard Durbin (D-Ill.} told reporters Friday that Trump “said things that were hate-filled, vile and racist,” and “he said them repeatedly.”
Isaac Newton Farris Jr., Martin Luther King Jr.'s nephew, attended a meeting honoring his uncle at the White House on Friday. He said Trump is not a racist, just racially ignorant and racially uninformed.
While I hate to agree with anything Durbin says, I suspect in this case the Illinois senator is correct about Trump making the shithole remark. But does that make Trump a racist? I don’t know whether the president is a racist or not, but he is certainly a bigot, as almost all of us are.
I, for one, admit to being a bigot against blacks because a majority of them hold strong ant-Semitic views. That is especially hurtful to me since Jews were in the forefront of the civil rights movement and some of them were murdered for it by the KKK.
What it all boils down to though is that Democrats and the liberal media are out to destroy the Trump presidency and as such will pound on every word that comes out of Trump’s uncontrollable mouth whenever he gives them an opportunity, as with the shithole remark.
By the way, Haiti and some African countries are shithole countries, as are some other countries in the world.
