SINCE THE NFL PLAYERS ARE PROTESTING, THEY CAN DO MORE THAN JUST PROTEST, BUT IT SHOULD BE AGAINST BLACK BRUTALITY INSTEAD OF POLICE BRUTALITY

If the NFL players really want to make a difference, let them join up and become police officers to fight black brutality which takes far, far more black lives than police brutality

When Colin Kaepernick sat out the National Anthem he made it known that he was protesting the brutality by police against blacks. And the disrespect now shown our flag and country by the NFL players is in support of and agreement with Kaerpernick.

Does Cowboys owner Jerry Jones realize that when he knelt with his players he was protesting against police brutality? It was in Dallas that a Black Lives Matter-inspired thug assassinated five police officers.

There are an estimated 800,000 law enforcement officers in the United States. You will always find some bad apples in any organization and so it is with the police profession. But police misconduct is an aberration, not the norm. Yet with all the media hype, one would think that cops do nothing but beat up and kill unarmed black people.

If black athletes want to protest, they should be protesting against black brutality, not police brutality. There is an orgy of lacks killing blacks going on in the black communities of Chicago, Baltimore and other American cities. Black brutality takes far, far more black lives than police brutality. Police Brutality against blacks fades in the face of black brutality.

As a result of all the negative media hype and the attacks on cops, police officers have been taking early retirements and law enforcement agencies all over the country are finding it difficult to recruit new officers.

Since the assassination of the five Dallas police officers, hardly a day has gone by without a cop getting shot dead somewhere in this country. And on some days more than one cop gets killed. That’s not exactly an enticement for new police recruits.

There is a severe shortage of police officers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Instead of just protesting against police brutality, Jerry Jones should encourage his players to make a real difference by leaving their cushy overpaid jobs with the Cowboys to become underpaid cops putting their lives on the line every time they go to work.. And the same goes for all the other NFL teams. Then the players can make a real difference by fighting black brutality.

Of course the players are not going to do that. It’s a lot easier to protest against police mistreatment of blacks, whether true or not, than to actually do something about it. And even if they tried to become cops, many of the NFL players would be unable to pass the police background checks what with all the drunkenness, spousal abuse and other misconduct exhibited by the players.

The protests have done nothing but to further divide the country and to increase the racial animosity between whites and blacks.

Last Thursday, National Basketball Association Commissioner Adam Silver ordered that all NBA players will stand at attention during the playing of the National Anthem. Shame, shame on Roger Goodell for not having had the balls to do the same with the NFL.
