The impeachment hearings are starting this week. The Republicans submitted a list of witnesses to Adam Schiff, including Hunter Biden and the whistleblower, who they want to call for the hearings.
Schitt (oops, typo) quickly rejected their request. Here is what he wrote to the Republicans:
“The impeachment inquiry, moreover, has gathered an ever-growing body of evidence -- from witnesses and documents, including the President's own words in his July 25 call record -- that not only confirms, but far exceeds, the initial information in the whistleblower's complaint. The whistleblower's testimony is therefore redundant and unnecessary. In light of the President’s threats, the individual’s appearance before us would only place their personal safety at grave risk. The committee also will not facilitate efforts by President Trump and his allies in Congress to threaten, intimidate and retaliate against the whistleblower who courageously raised the initial alarm.”
As for Hunter Biden, he wrote:
“This inquiry is not and will not serve as a vehicle to undertake the same sham investigations into the Bidens or 2016 that the President pressed Ukraine to conduct for his personal political benefit.”
In my opinion, the Republicans are right in wanting the testimony of the whistleblower and Hunter Biden. The whistleblower started all this shit and it centers around the president wanting Biden investigated for corruption. It remains to be seen if the Biden investigation is a sham investigation. I seriously doubt the President will get a fair hearing since Little Adam Schitt is an ardent Trump hater.
