Hatred of Trump won’t let the media admit that the meeting between President Trump and Kim Jong-Un was a success

Any reasonably minded observer would conclude that the meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-un was a success. But you won’t get that from the media which is so consumed with hatred of Trump that it will turn a success into a failure.
The two signed an agreement for the denuclearization of the Korean peninsular, for an end of the joint military exercises by the U.S. and South Korean armed forces, and for a guarantee of North Korea’s security.
The media immediately criticized the agreement. It would have you believe Rocket Man made a fool out of the dotard. It gave Trump credit only for letting a little murderous dictator rise to international prominence.
Trump was roundly criticized for praising Kim while ignoring the human rights issue. Trump was accused of stabbing our close ally South Korea in the back by failing to notify its government that the U.S. would discontinue their joint war games. Trump was denounced for giving much more than he got in return.
Had this meeting been held between Kim and Obama with exactly the same results and praise of a murderous dictator, the media would have heaped mountains of praise on the president it gushed all over with love during every day of his 8 years in office.
Let’s be real. The agreement between Trump and Kim had been worked out by Secretary of State Mike Pampeo and his people and their North Korean counterparts well before the meeting between the two leaders took place. Had there been no prior agreement, there would have been no meeting between Trump and Kim.
For all we know, during their private meeting the two may have spent their time exchanging dirty jokes. They remained in private just long enough to make it appear as though the two hammered out the agreement between themselves.
Having said that though, I believe the meeting between the Rocket Man and the dotard was rather successful. It remains to be seen if North Korea will actually rid itself of nuclear weapons. But if this meeting had never been held, you can bet the Hermit Kingdom would have remained a member of the exclusive nuclear club and a serious threat to the security of the United States.
