The shoes are falling in the Flint water debacle. The Director of the Dept. of Health, Nick Lyon, is being charged with involuntary manslaughter and misconduct in office.
The department's Chief Medical Executive, Eden Wells, is being charged with obstruction of justice and lying to the cops (both felinies).
The former Emergency Manger, Darnell Earley, is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. He has several other charges, including felonies, still pending.
The former Water Dept. Manager, Howard Croft, is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. He has other felony charges pending, including conspiracy.
The Michigan Dept. of environmental Quality drinking water chief, Liane Shekter-Smith, is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. She has other felony and misdemeanor charges pending.
The district supervisor for the state Office of Drinking Water, Stephen Busch, is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. He has other felony charges pending, including evidence tampering and conspiracy.
The manslaughter charges are the result of 12 deaths specifically linked to the contaminated drinking water in Flint.
Just goes to show you, if you know the shit is hitting the fan and you say nothing when you are suppose to say something, some of the shit might land on you and might be difficult to wash off. Manslaughter can get you 15 years in Michigan.
