If you are of the female persuasion and are a guest of the people in Rock Island County, Illinois, you now have the constitutional right to possess and wear colored underwear.
The county slammer had previously banned color underwear on the basis that the dyes in the underwear could be cooked out and used to make tattoo ink. (Sounds like bullshit to me.) However, the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the "white or none" underwear restriction was unconstitutional. The jail has since dropped the ban, but the lawsuit is still pending and seeking damages for civil rights violations.
Just thought you might like to know.
