In a shocking ending to the Academy Awards,’ La La Land’ was announced as the winner of the Best Picture award when in fact it was ‘Moonlight’.
It appears as though PricewaterhouseCoopers accountant Brian Cullinan was obsessed with Best Actress winner Emma Stone’s boobs on a monitor when he handed off the wrong envelope to Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. Cullinan handed them a duplicate copy of the ‘Actress in a Leading Role’ award which happened to be Emma Stone in ’ La La Land’. A confused Beatty handed off the card to Dunaway who read the bottom line, La La Land, in mistakenly announcing the Best Picture winner.
Thanks to Emma’s boobs, Cullinan and his co-worker Martha Ruiz have been canned by the Academy.
