REVENGE OF THE KUSHNERS

Chris Christie’s loyalty to Trump is trumped by Jared Kushner’s revenge

Ever since the end of the Republican debates and the nomination of Donald Trump, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been Trump’s most loyal ally. Christie and Rudy Giuliani defended Trump against each and every attack thrown at Trump by the Hillary campaign and by the New York Times, Washington Post, MSNBC, CNN and other Hillary-siding media publications and TV broadcasts.

It has been said that Trump regards loyalty numero uno when it comes to personal relationships. And indeed, Christie was rewarded during the campaign by being put in charge of Trump’s transition team. And Christie was thought to be in line for an important position in the Trump administration. Ah, but all that loyalty went down the drain when Christie was unceremoniously dumped from the transition team after Trump was elected President.

Jared Kushner, who is is married to Trump’s daughter Ivanka, is said to be one of the President Elect’s closest advisers. In 2005, his father, real estate mogul Charles Kushner, was tried for and convicted of making illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and witness tampering. In a plea deal he received a two year sentence and was released from prison after serving only one year.

Who was the nasty man that prosecuted Charles Kushner? Why it was none other than the tough U.S. Attorney over New Jersey, Chris Christie.

Now that he’s been elected, Trump doesn’t need Christie to defend him anymore. Former Congressman Mike Rogers is a close ally of Christie. He has also been dumped from the transition team. It is alleged that Jared wants to get rid of anyone associated with Christie.

Giuliani, who was thought to become Attorney General, has been picked to be our next Secretary of State. Despite the New Jersey Bridgegate scandal, Christie would have been an excellent pick for Attorney General. But now he is out of favor because revenge trumps loyalty. Call it the revenge of the Kushners.
