John Kasich drops out of presidential field leaving a bombastic Trump as the only Republican candidate

On Wednesday, Gov. John Kasich, the only nice guy among all the presidential candidates, both Republicans and Democrats, finally threw in the towel. In announcing his withdrawal from the race he said:
"As I suspend my campaign today, I have renewed faith, deeper faith, that the Lord will show me the way forward and fulfill the purpose of my life."
"The spirit, the essence of America lies in the hearts and souls of us. You see, some missed this message. It wasn't sexy. It wasn't a great sound bite."
That leaves the nastiest of the bunch as the lone remaining Republican candidate. Since Trump went out of his way to denigrate women and Mexicans, to say nothing of fellow candidates Cruz, Rubio, Fiorina and Jeb Bush, it is hard to see how he can catch up to the nastiest Democratic candidate who is now ahead of him by double digits.
