GOOD NEWS, REALLY VERY GOOD NEWS: I WAS WRONG! I WAS WRONG! I WAS WRONG!!

By Howie Katz

Trump strode on to the stage at around 2.30am (ET), stern-faced and somber, the weight of history upon him.

The President-elect, Melania and Barron celebrate his victory at the Palm Beach County Convention Center

On October 8, 2024, I predicted that on January 20, 2025, Kamala Harris would be sworn in as our new president.

I am very happy to admit that I was wrong, dead wrong!

As of noon Texas time, Trump had  292 electoral votes. He needed 270 to win. Trump also won the popular vote.

By noon, the Republicans were also sweeping both houses of Congress, 52-43 in the Senate and 201-184 in the House.

Kamala Harris was unable to word salad her way into the White House. Her 'chicken in every pot' promise did not work. Neither did her screeching on women's reproductive rights.

What won it for Trump? Let me quote what Jim Carville said in 1992: "It's the economy, stupid."

At his rallies, Trump asked, "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?"  To America's workers the obvious answer was "no". The economy was by far the top issue, followed by illegal immigration and abortion.

Kamala Harris was unable to word salad her way into the White House.

Barack Obama's campaigning for Harris did not help her and now he won't be serving his fourth term as president.

One of Trump's first acts as president should be to throw the Obama-holdovers out of the government, especially those in the State Department.

Trump's victory is not just good for America, but it is also good for Israel. Although he and Netanyahu have grown apart, Trump will never threaten Israel with an arms embargo like the Biden-Harris administration has done.

I'm a happy camper now and I'm very glad that I was wrong in predicting a Harris wi

TED CRUZ APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN REELECTED TO THE US SENATE

By Howie Katz

With 87.4 percent of the Texas vote counted, Senator Ted Cruz had an insurmountable lead of one million votes over his Democratic challenger Congressman Colin Allred.

Allred received millions of out-of-state dollars for his campaign, but that did not lead to the victory the Democrats hoped for.

Cruz's reelection is not only good for Texas and the United States, but it is also good for Israel. Cruz has been a longtime good friend and strong supporter of the Jewish state.

At this writing, Trump appears to be headed for a win. Even though Trump is a lunatic, I hope he will end up defeating dumbass Harris. It's far better for the country to have a lunatic than a dumbass in the White House.

IT SEEMS THAT TRUMP IS TRYING TO UNSEAT KAMALA HARRIS AS THE DUMBEST CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT EVER

By Howie Katz

Donald Trump went on a profanity-laden attack against some of his rivals as he spoke with Tucker Carlson just days before the election
Donald Trump was interviewed by Tucker Carlson in Glendale, Arizona Thursday evening

On October 29 I said that Kamala Harris has got to be the dumbest candidate ever for president, but I may have spoken too soon. It seems that Trump is trying to unseat her.

Trump sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson in Glendale, Arizona on Thursday evening. and here is what Trump said abut Liz Cheney, the former Republican congresswoman who has been campaigning for Kamala Harris.

"Let's put her with the rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her. OK, let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face."

It's almost impossible to conceive of how any sane candidate would ever say something like that abut an election opponent, but Trump said it about Cheney.

Trump is either not of sound mind or he is trying to get Kamala elected.

Harris was quick to say that his Liz Cheney comments should "disqualify" Trump of being president, and she's right.

Arizona's Democratic attorney general has opened an investigation into whether Trump's insane remark constitutes a death threat.

If Trump is not the dumbest candidate ever for president, he certainly is the craziest.

On Tuesday, Americans will elect either a dumbass or a lunatic, neither one of which is fit to be president of the United States.

God help America!

A JOKE MAY HAVE COST TRUMP PENNSYLVANIA

By Howie Katz

Tony Hinchcliffe

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at Donald Trump's campaign rally in Madison Square Garden on October 27, 2024

Tony Hinchcliffe is a comedian few Americans ever heard of. But he was the first speaker before a packed house of 20,000 Trump supporters in the Madison Square Garden rally on October 27, 2024. And here is one of his jokes.

“I don’t know if you guys know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”

That infuriated Puerto Ricans, as it well should have. Harris and Barack Obama, as well as Puerto Rican celebrities Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Ricky Martin, soundly condemned the joke.

But not to worry. The people of Puerto Rico cannot vote in the presidential election. So, that joke can't hurt Trump.

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

While those living on the island cannot vote in our elections, the Puerto Ricans living in the U.S. can.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 470,000 Puerto Ricans live in Pennsylvania, a swing state that Trump absolutely has to win.

Let's say that only half of Pennsylvania's Puerto Ricans are eligible to vote. That amounts to more than 200,00 voters. And if half of those eligible voters cast their ballots for Harris, that may be enough to cost Trump this vital swing state.

And there are 132,000 Puerto Ricans in North Carolina and 124,000 in Georgia. In a race that is a toss-up, those Puerto Ricans could cost Trump the swing states of North Carolina and Georgia as well.

Trump should have soundly apologized to the Puerto Ricans. But Trump never apologizes. Instead, he responded to the condemnations by calling his MSG rally a lovefest”.

Personally, I saw absolutely nothing funny in Hinchcliffe's joke. And it's not funny either if that joke causes dumbass Harris to become president.

KAMALA HARRIS HAS GOT TO BE THE DUMBEST CANDIDATE EVER FOR PRESIDENT

By Howie Katz

a woman in a black dress is sitting in a chair making a gesture

“I talked with somebody once who said, ‘You know, if you just look at, where the stars are in the sky. Don’t look [at] ’em as just random things, if you just look at ’em as points.’ Look at the constellation — what does it show you?

Kamala Harris has got to be the dumbest candidate ever for president, yet she has a good chance of being elected.

If America's voters cast their ballots intelligently, Harris wouldn't stand a chance. But many voters choose a candidate because he/she was endorsed by a celebrity.

Take Taylor Swift for example. According to a 2023 survey by Morning Consult, in the U.S., 53% of adults said they were fans of Swift, of whom 44% identified as Swifties and 16% as her "avid" fans.

You can bet that those who are avid fans of Taylor Swift will vote for Harris because she endorsed her. And many of the Swifties will vote for Harris for the same reason. That amounts to an enormous number of voters.

Kamala Harris, Queen of Word Salads

Harris spews out word salads to cover up her ignorance when questioned  about issues.

“I talked with somebody once who said, ‘You know, if you just look at, where the stars are in the sky. Don’t look [at] ’em as just random things, if you just look at ’em as points.’ Look at the constellation — what does it show you?,” was her response to a question about crime in black neighborhoods.

How about her answer when asked about Netanyahu's actions that are opposed by President Biden: “The work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”

And here is another Harris jewel: “You know, when we talk about our children — I know for this group, we all believe that when we talk about the children of the community, they are a children of the community.” Well, at least Kamala knows that children of the community are children of the community.

Of course, Harris is getting lots of help from Trump himself with some of the stupid things he says and from his persistent use of personal insults. Thus, Harris uses Trumps own words against him at every one of her campaign rallies.

As I said, if America's voters cast their ballots intelligently, Harris wouldn't stand a chance. But those voters have proven time and time again that they do not vote intelligently.

If this uber-dumbass does become president, she can thank Taylor Swift, and especially Donald Trump, whose big mouth will have snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory.

I VOTED TODAY

By Howie Katz

Photo of Ted Cruz next to a photo of Donald Trump

Sen. Ted Cruz and former President Trump

I took advantage of early voting and cast my ballot today.

I held my nose as I voted for Trump. My vote was more a vote against Kamala Harris than a vote for Trump.

I also voted for Sen. Ted Cruz. Polls show he is in a tight race with his uber-left Democratic opponent. God, I hope Cruz is reelected.

I voted for the Republican candidates for congress, the state legislature and state-wide offices.

The Texas ballot is what is known as a 'jungle ballot', one with far too many candidates. The overwhelming number of candidates were those seeking election as judges. In Texas judges run either as Democrats or Republicans. I do not vote for judges because I am opposed to partisan elections of judges.

I did vote for one Democrat and that was Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. He's done a good job and I saw no reason for a change in office just because he happens to be a Democrat.

Unfortunately Harris County is a Democratic stronghold. The only Republicans that will be elected are those that represent Republican districts.

Considering my age, this is probably the last presidential election that I'll have the opportunity to vote in.

In any case, I am very proud that Courtney is a cop.

THE MOUTH THAT KEEPS GIVING ... TO KAMALA HARRIS

By Howie Katz

donald trump is giving a speech in front of a microphone while wearing a suit and tie .

It simply amazes me how Trump can say some of the stupid things he comes up with. It appears that, like Biden, he is at times mentally unstable.

His latest saying is the crown jewel of absurdity. It concerns the January 6 insurrection.

During a Univision town hall on Wednesday, he was asked about the storming of the capitol by his supporters.

Trump responded by saying January 6 was a "day of love" when "nothing" was "done wrong."

A day of love where nothing was done wrong? A mob of hundreds assaulted numerous police officers and broke into the Capitol by breaking windows and doors. This was clearly an insurrection and by no means a day of love.

A magician couldn't make a day of love out of assaulting cops and breaking into the Capitol.

This is just one of many examples of the mouth that keeps giving to Kamala Harris.

As Michael Goodwin wrote in the New York Post: "Day after day, he calls opponents and critics dumb, stupid, lunatics, crazy and idiots." Goodwin says that Trump would be heading toward a landslide if he were not alienating large numbers of people by his use of nasty, childish insults.

All that aside, a half-baked Trump is still a far better choice than an uber-left Kamala.

'WORD SALAD' EXPLAINED

By Howie Katz

CBS News is facing immense backlash after the network edited a 'word salad' answer from Harris in her 60 Minutes interview in order to allegedly portray her more positively

“Well, Bill … the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.”

Say what?!

That was Kamala's response with long pauses and hesitant wording when CBS 60 Minutes host Bill Whitaker noted that “it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening” to the Biden administration.

If you didn't know what is meant by “word salad”, her response explains it.

The Vice President appeared on 60 Minutes on October 7. CBS tried to save Kamala's ass by editing out her wording, wording that language experts would not be able to interpret.

Kamala sounds good when speaking at campaign rallies, but when answering questions during interviews, what one often gets are unintelligible word salads.

TOMORROW IS COLUMBUS DAY .... NOT INDIGENOUS PEOPLES' DAY

By Howie Katz

Christopher Columbus

                                                     Christopher Columbus

Columbus Day honors the courageous explorer who reached the Americas on Oct 12, 1492, a feat no one thought was possible because they believed the world was flat and that his three ships would fall off the edge of the earth.

Columbus Day is a national holiday that is dear to this country's Italian-Americans and should be dear to all Americans.

Liberals in this country have long objected to Columbus Day because they blame him for the mistreatment of the Indians in the US and Latin America, something the explorer had nothing to do with.

The opponents of Columbus Day have come up with the preposterous name of Indigenous Peoples' Day. To liberals the name 'Indians' is a cardinal sin.

The name change of Columbus Day would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

To me, it will always be Columbus Day. And that's the way it should be for all Americans.

NEITHER UNRWA, THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE OR UN CHIEF ANTONIO GUTERRES WON THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

Japan’s Nihon Hidankyo group is awarded the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize

By Howie Katz

The Hiroshima city hall after the bomb

UNRWA, The International Court of Justice (ICJ) and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres were among those nominated to receive the 2024 Nobel Peace Prize. I consider those nominations as some kind of joke.

The prestige of the Nobel prize took a big hit when US President Barack Obama won it in 2009. No one has yet figured out what Obama did to receive the award. Some think it was because he became the first black to be elected president.

Nihon Hidankyo, which is the winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize, is a Japanese organization of US atomic bombing survivors that strives to abolish nuclear weapons.

The Nobel committee had the good sense not to award the prize to the Israel-hating UNRWA, ICJ and Guterres..

As for Guterres, earlier this month, Israel gave him the award he truly deserves: Persona non grata.

I HOPE TO GOD I'M WRONG

I am sorry to predict that on January 20, 2025, Kamala Harris will be sworn in as our new president

By Howie Katz

Monday, January 20, 2025

With less than 30 days till the election, I am sorry to predict that on January 20, 2025, Kamala Harris will be sworn in as our new president.

Ther are several reasons for my dire prediction.

Kamala Harris has the crucial women's vote locked up because of the abortion issue.

She can count on the black and Jewish votes.

The leftist-indoctrinated college graduates will vote for Harris.

Harris is flooding the airwaves with feel-good and anti-Trump ads which Trump cannot match because he doesn't have near the campaign funds she has.

The media is protecting Harris while reporting unfavorable stories about Trump.

And Trump, with his bigmouth, is helping to elect Harris. He hasn't stopped relying on conspiracy theories since he suggested people with Covid 19 ingest Lysol or Clorox. His latest outburst was that FEMA is running out of funds because it has spent them on migrant needs. That conspiracy theory started somewhere in the depth of social media.

To make matters worse, Harris will have both houses of congress controlled by Democrats.

If only the Republicans had nominated a better candidate like Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Mike Pompeo or better yet, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

America is headed for dark times. I hope to God I'm wrong.

NOTE: As I write this, the Daily Mail reports that Trump is ahead of Harris and increasing his lead.

I hope to God the Daily Mail is not wrong.

TONIGHT'S VP DEBATE

I call it a draw

By Howie Katz

Vice Presidential debate between Walz and Vance in New York

My take away from tonight's VP debate is that Harris supporters

in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square protests, he danced around the answer before saying that he was in China the Summer of 1989 and "misspoke."

Vance continuously accused Harris of making policies that President Biden made.

Both men were good in defending their running mates. Walz did score a knockdown of sorts during their discussion of the January 6 insurrection.

At one point Vance got into a real face-to-face debate with Walz, but the moderators quickly stopped them.

As in the Harris-Trump debate, moderators Norah O'Donnell and Margaret Brennan were biased, this time against Vance. When he hit back at them for fact checking him, they cut his mic.

I doubt this debate changed more than a handful of votes.

JUDGE ORDERS ONE OF TRUMP'S NEWS SOURCES DISSOLVED

A judge ordered that the assets of Infowars be auctioned off, effectively dissolving the conspiracy theory media platform

By Howie Katz

a man in a suit is speaking into a microphone with a make a gif.com logo in the background

Alex Jones' Infowars will be auctioned off to help pay the nearly $1.5 billion he owes to the relatives of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre

Alex Jones owes thr Sandy Hook families nearly $1.5 billion because of a judgement against him for calling the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre a hoax on Infowars.

Judge Christopher Lopez in Houston on September 24 ordered the auction to begin in November.

Sandy Hook families won nearly $1.5 billion in a 2022 lawsuit seeking damages for defamation and emotional distress.

a man in a suit and tie is sitting at a table with a microphone and papers .

Alex Jones did not take kindly to the billion dollar judgement against him

Jones filed for bankruptcy after the judgement was rendered.

Jones is hoping that some of his wealthy supporters will buy the Infowars assets so that he can continue to run the media plat form.

Former President Donald Trump is a fan of Infowars and has repeated some of Jones' conspiracy theories in the past.

Jones also claims the moonwalk was faked, saying it was staged on a Hollywood back lot. With the two Boeing astronauts stuck in space, that sounds logical to me.

AN EXPLAATION OF WHY MELANIA CONTINUES TO BE A NO-SHOW

Trump's squeeze helped him prepare for the debate ..... It must have been between the sheets

By Howie Katz

Loomer has become a regular fixture at Trump's Mar-a-Lago home despite her outlandish views , and this week made racist comments about Trump's opponent Kamala Harris

That's not Melania, it's Trump's squeeze

Laura Loomer is a conspiracy theorist who has worked as a reporter for Alex Jones's InfoWars. She has called 9/11 an "Inside Job."

Recently she made some vile racist comments about Kamala Harris which even got flaky Marjorie Taylor Greene to blast her.

Loomer has been seen with Trump almost daily for the past several weeks, while Melania has been nowhere in sight.

The following pictures lead me to believe that what's going on between Trump and Loomer is more than just a friendship.

The former Miss Ohio called her a 'grifter and a liar, among other things'

In 2020, Loomer defeated five opponents to win the Republican primary in Florida's 21st Congressional District with 43 percent of the vote but lost the general election

The far-right influencer tore into former -GOP National Spokesperson Madison Gesiotto Gilbert (pictured) after the former Miss Ohio denounced her as a racist on CNN

Last year, Trump reportedly asked his team to add Loomer to the campaign payroll and he was rebuffed

Earlier Friday, Trump said at a press conference that he's unaware of the controversy surrounding Loomer and said he doesn't control her

‘Laura is a supporter… she has very strong opinions… she’s a free spirit,’ Trump told reporters in Los Angeles.

Loomer is so far from even fringe Republicans that the likes of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has pushed her own conspiracy theories, have called her out as 'extremely racist' for her curry comment

Outrage among prominent Trump allies over Loomer's relationship with Trump is now exploding into public view

Loomer helped Trump prepare for the debate. Considering how that turned out, her help must have been between the sheets.

Trump visited the 9/11 memorial in New York City Wednesday to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks. Guess who accompanied Trump ... hint, it wasn't Melania.

Trump says Laura Loomer does not have a role in his campaign and disagrees with some of her recent statements but is grateful for her support as the MAGA Civil War over her presence rages

Loomer has worn a T-shirt that reads, "Donald Trump did nothing wrong!" I don't think Melania would agree with that.

Their relationship convinces me that Loomer is Trump's squeeze. And that would explain why Melania continues to be a no-show.

I PRAYED FOR TRUMP TO WIN THE DEBATE

My take on the Harris-Trump debate

Trump elected Harris president

By Howie Katz

Harris-Trump presidential debate hosted by ABC in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

“In Springfield, they’re eating the dogs. The people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating... they’re eating the pets of the people that live there.”

Harris even took advantage of the Afghanistan debacle by shaming Trump for inviting the Taliban to Camp David. All Trump could do was to make faces.

How did the debate play among voters? Here's what I think.

Democrats will gush all over Kamala's performance.

Trump's base will gush all over his performance.

The all-important independent voters will now swing over to Harris.

Unless, somehow,  Trump can deliver a knock out blow to Harris between now and November 5, he just elected her president with his disappointing debate performance

THE PAPAL PHYSICIAN FEARED POPE FRANCIS WAS ABOUT TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK

Mighty Notre Dam trounces Northern Illinois ... Oops, that should read Northern Illinois defeats Notre Dame 16-14

Northern Illinois quarterback Ethan Hampton celebrates with fans after his team beat No. 5 Notre Dame on Saturday in South Bend, Indiana

Northern Illinois University? I never heard of it, that is until Saturday.

Mighty Notre Dame was expected to trounce the university that no one outside of Illinois even knew it existed. But Northern Illinois fought off Notre Dame and won 16-14. And to rub salt into the wound, they did it on Notre Dame's home turf in South Bend, Indiana.

Catholics all over the world were left in shock. In the final moments of the game, a furious Pope kept pounding his fists on a table while shouting obscenities at the TV. The papal physician feared Pope Francis was about to have a heart attack.

On the other hand, Baptists were overjoyed over Notre Dame's loss. Many of them celebrated with the consumption of alcohol, a sin in the Baptist faith.

UTERUS CONTRACTIONS ARE WHAT LABOR DAY IS ABOUT

by Howie Katz

Denton 02

Texas Woman's University is the nation's largest university system for women. TWU's main campus is located in Denton, Texas.

When asked what Labor Day was about, 83 percent of the 14,000 students at TWU in Denton thought it was a celebration of the uterus contractions (labor) women experience as part of the childbirth process.

12 percent had no idea what Labor Day was about and five percent said they did not give a rat's ass.

83 percent of the 14,000 TWU students can't be wrong. So now you know what the celebration of Labor Day is really all about.

FOUNDING FATHER HOWIE KATZ'S SPEECH AT THE 2024 TNOA ANNUAL CONFERENCE

By Corky Schalchlin

Executive Director,  Texas Narcotic Officers Association

The 2024 Texas Narcotic Officers Association (TNOA) Conference in Galveston, Texas, was a great success! We had an incredible turnout with over 600 officers in attendance, showing the strong commitment of our members to enhancing their skills and knowledge in the fight against narcotics.

I wanted to take a moment to highlight a truly special event from the 2024 TNOA Annual Training Conference. We were honored to have Howie Katz, the founding father of the Texas Narcotic Officers Association, speak at our Awards Banquet. At 97 years old, Howie captivated the audience with his reflections on the creation of TNOA back in 1969.

His speech was a reminder of the legacy we carry on today. Howie shared his experiences, the challenges with drug use that we continue to face, and the vision that has guided our association for over five decades. His words were not only inspiring but also a powerful testimony to the commitment of TNOA.

For those who were unable to attend or would like to revisit Howie’s memorable speech, a recording is available on YouTube. You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/bSAbSAALbfc.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the conference and to Howie for his invaluable contributions to our association and the field of narcotics enforcement.

Stay safe.

The Founding of TNOA

By Howie Katz

When I as a California law enforcement officer, I was active in the California Narcotic Officers Association, of which I am a Life Member.

In 1969 I accepted a teaching position at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. One of the first things I did was to inquire about the Texas Narcotic Officer Association. When I found out there was no such thing, I decided to organize such an organization.

I approached Dr. George Killinger, the department head, and told him of my intention. He was very receptive.. He agreed to bear the expense of letting me make telephone calls to law enforcement agencies all over the state so I could invite officers to SHSU for an organizational meeting. Dr. Killinger also agreed to provide lunch for all of the attending officers.

The third or fourth phone call I made was  to the Houston PD where I promptly ran into a roadblock. Capt. Jack Renois, head of the Narcotics division, emphatically stated that we could not form a state narcotic officers organization without the explicit approval of DPS. I did not argue with hum that he was mistaken.

I immediately called DPS Director Col. Wilson Speir. He was very enthusiastic about forming TNOA. He told me he would have Elmer Terrell, the head of DPS narcotics division, call me. Elmer called me about ten minutes later and we agreed on a date for the meeting. After that, Capt. Renois was aboard.

The meeting at SHSU was well attended by officers from all over the state. Elmer Terrell was chosen as TNOA's president, a damn good choice. TNOA received its state charter in 1970.
