Today is the 18th anniversary of 9-11. That means in the election next year there will be people voting for whom the only thing 9-11 means is that they have to hassle with TSA to get on a plane. If it didn't happen within the last three days on YouTube and get at least 3 million "likes" it is ancient history, is completely unimportant and probably didn't even really happen.

They see no trouble with being governed by Democrap-Socialists, or flat-out Socialists. They find the idea of personal responsibility to be completely foreign and the notion of being responsible for your own personal safety to be at best suspect and probably somehow fascist. They want the government to take care of them and give them stuff that they can pretend is free. The idea of taking care of themselves and earning things is odd to them. They need and demand "safe spaces" to keep them away from people with red hats and those who have IQs above room temperature who express opinions that make them nervous and ask questions that they can't answer. These scary people drive SUVs or pick-up trucks with mud in the wheel wells and actually haul stuff around in them rather than driving pristine Range Rovers or Volvo station wagons to goat yoga. They are great believers in free speech, as long as it is liberal free speech. Anything else is "hate speech" and should be shouted down or legally prohibited.

These youngsters have no problem with the idea of the government raising their kids, because they don't want to be bothered or can't be bothered or are too stoned to do it themselves. They don't care if they can write a coherent paragraph or balance a checkbook when they get out of high school as long as they know what emoji to use in which place. They don't believe in capitalization or punctuation and think that "your" and "you're" and "UR" are all the same thing.

Critical thinking to them is something you use to make a choice from a Chinese restaurant carry-out menu. If they see it on Google News or MSNBC or The View it MUST be true because their smartphone tells them so. They know that Donald Trump is a deviant and a criminal because all their friends think that Donald Trump is a deviant and a criminal because Robert DeNiro and Rosie O'Donald tell them its true.

The only good thing about this mess is that youngsters are just about the lowest voter participation block going, and a lot of them will vote for Bernie, because they believe in Bernie and because the DNC and Hillary screwed him last time around. Keep believing that. Feel the Bern. Vote your conscience. It will make you feel good. Feeling good about yourself is what's important. That's why your friends invented "virtue signalling." The feeling of moral superiority is its own reward.
