Frank Harvey, 17, was a senior at Manville High School in New Jersey until Monday. He and his mom assert that he was kicked out of school, they were forced to undergo a social services interview and the kid was ordered to undergo a psych evaluation because he successfully completed a video presentation project.
Harvey decided to do his project in opposition to "gun control." His presentation consisted of anecdotal information on successful and legally appropriate use of deadly force by private citizens in self defense and editorial cartoons in opposition to gun control. He asserts his teacher approved the project, that it was delivered to the class successful and was acknowledged by the class in a positive manner.
It seems that he left a copy of the thumb drive by accident in the school library. Someone checked it out and "reported it" to the "authorities." The cops visited their house. A social services worked bee came by to interview them. The young man was kicked out of school and ordered to undergo a psych evaluation. Allegedly.
The District Superintended, Anne Facundo, denies that this took place and states that Harvey voluntarily left school. She has declined further comment, citing confidentiality concerns.
The Harvey family is considering legal action.
EDITOR’S NOTE: What happened to this kid is hard to believe. Kicked out of school? Investigated by the police? Ordered to undergo a psych evaluation? What ever happened to free expression?
If this is true, it’s the school authorities and social services workers that are in need of some serious head shrinking!
