The Dow Jones Industrial Averages closed at a record high of 27,462 yesterday. The S&P Index and the NASDAQ also closed at record highs.
Trading in P G & E was stopped twice yesterday due to volatility in the stock, which has dropped significantly in value since their bankruptcy filing. It used to be a class, reliable, Widows, Orphans and Institutional investment. Not so much any more.
A lot of people vote from their wallets. A good DOW is good for Trump. Some Democrats are openly expressing hope for a bad economy as a political point against Trump. I wonder how the working class in flyover country will react to that? We may find out in Iowa in 90 days or so.
