That well-known fake Mexican, Robert Francis O'Rourke, bit the electoral dust over the weekend. He finally recognized he got about as much real traction as a Pinto with bald tires on a frozen lake.
Beto (as he styled himself) was the media darling for a while, before Mayor Pete stole his thunder. He did this based on loosing, albeit sort-of closely, to Ted Cruz for the Texas senate seat in 2018.
Another even more failed flash-in-the-pan, Kamala Harris, announced that she is pulling back and dumping staff to concentrate (i. e. throw a Hail Mary) on the Iowa Caucuses coming up in less than 100 days. That will almost certainly be a do-or-die point in her campaign.
O'Rourke is trying to make the existential threat of climate change and his overwhelming desire to take guns away from honest, law-abiding gun owners the focal points of his bid. So far, it ain't working. He has so far declined to endorse any of the other 1, 837 candidates still running for the Democrat party nomination.
