In response to my post NO BIG DEAL BECAUSE ECUADOR AIN'T MEXICO (March 5, 2026) an Anon commented, "Does anyone remember Nicaragua?"

 

Yeah, I remember Nicaragua and President Reagan's attempt to overthrow the Sandinistas by using Lt. Col. Oliver North. The Sandinistas prevailed and their leader Daniel Ortega has been President since 2007. And in 2025 his wife Rosario Murillo, who had been Vice President, was elected Co-President.

 

A note to President Trump: Every time we have attempted regime change we have been left with egg on our face.
